Provo Canyon in the Fall!

I have always felt so blessed..

to live just minutes from the Provo Canyon.

In my opinion there is nowhere that can compare to the beauty found here!

We visited the canyon before church (that doesn't start til 2:30 now! Agh!) and played a little football with Riv. Look at him go! He already looks like a pro :)

But he kept wanting to get in the River!

We love our canyon and love visiting it often. I hope River will enjoy being so close to the canyon like I did growing up. Visiting while the leaves are changing is a must! Every time I go to the canyon I am in awe of the power God has to create such beauty. The crisp air and the smells of Fall are abundant this time of year. Go visit if you haven't had time yet, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Fire Station Open House

We live right next door to the Fire Station

so when we found out they were having an open house

we had to go. Especially cause we could just walk there :)

Riv didn't know quite what to make of everything and just wanted to be held.

He was scared of most things including the Fire men!

He got a Fire man's hat, but preferred when I wore it.

He got to go in the back of an ambulance, spray a fire hose, and saw a life flight take off.

He really didn't know what to think about this fire clown!

We are so grateful for all that Fire fighters do for us! We are so glad that there are brave men and women to help keep us safe. Thanks for letting us come see all your cool toys and thanks for the hat, popcorn & cotton-candy! We are glad you are our neighbor (literally).

What we have been up to this Fall...

River has been feeling a little under the weather...

so we have been spending a lot of time in this chair...

watching movies...but we do so in style (Halloween style that is!)

I have been baking up every sweet thing you can think of! I always get in the mood for baking when Fall comes around. I have tried a lot of great recepies...these are homemade chocolate cupcakes with peanut-butter frosting. Yummy!

Riv is a climber and will try to scale almost anything...

including my bathroom counter...

he gets there by first scaling the toilet! But he has fun so whatever :)

I really love to get into the spirit of whatever holiday is around. There are so many local things I want to attend during this October/ Halloween time! Stay tuned for our adventures :)

A couple thing I recommened you try...

No Frizz by Living proof

These are a couple things I have tried lately and really love! First I am always looking for new hair products and when I went to the hair supply store I saw these new bottles...I investigated. The product is No Frizz and they have a line of products that eliminate frizz. I bought the leave in conditioner and tried it this morning and really like it! I really want to try the rest of their products now. It is not heavy on your hair and not greasy! If you want "no frizz" this is your product! Check out review here.

My Mom and I went to Molly's for lunch the other day. It is only opened for lunch and isn't very big. It seems like a lot of people already know the secret because the place was full. It is in Provo right across form D.I. The people that catered my wedding are the ones that own it. The food is delicious! I had their pulled pork, mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ate it all! That is saying a lot too because they have big portions! Come hungry...

Fall time has been fun so far...and we are just getting started! My Mom, Sister, Riv and I all went to the Thanksgiving Point Pumpkin Weigh in. There were some seriously HUGE pumpkins! Just a few that we saw get weighed were like over 500 lbs! They also had some really cute crafty booths that were selling homemade goods. There were some really cute items that I think I might try to make, when I get up the courage :) I can't believe how warm it has been even though it is almost October. I'm glad for the warmth, but I think I'm ready for some more cool crisp air. I just hope it doesn't jump right into freezing weather like it does sometimes.
River is getting more teeth and not loving it! He really is a super sweet little guy and his laugh is so contagious :) Things he is enjoying right now include: Anything to do with water, swinging, feeding ducks, playing with balls, looking at books, Disney Movies, laughing, climbing on everything, etc. He is so cute and so much fun! Love you Boogs!!

I wanted to get some Pumpkins for my front porch and while I was driving (trying to get Riv to take a nap) I saw a house with a yard full of them! When Tony got home I told him I wanted to go pick some up at this house, he told me he had gotten pumpkins there for an activity we did back when we were dating! I thought that was pretty funny that he and I both on our own had found this place :) River got to pick his own and then I got a nice big one, that will be perfect for carving. I also got a cornstalk and put it on my porch too. It looks really festive and totally is getting me in the mood for Fall. I love this time of year :) Some of the treats I plan on making this Fall are:
