Riv & Milo Stats!

Well I am playing catch up on the blog.
I never posted River and Milo's Growth stats back from 6/8/2012

River

Weight: 34 lbs  75%
Length: 39 inches  85%

He really moved up on his weight! I don't know how though? All this kid eats is crackers and sweets!
Maybe those sweets are catching up with him ;)
He is doing a little better about eating, but only a little and not consistently.
We just keep working on it :)

Milo

Weight:  18lb 4oz  0% or <5 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">
Length:  29 in.  25%
Head Circ: 17.5 in.  5%

Milo is still itty bitty! He has turned into almost a more picky eater then River!! I don't know why my kids won't eat?? I for sure don't have that problem ;) This kid LOVES watermelon and goldfish crackers. I'm not kidding when I tell you that that is pretty much what he lives on. It's so bad!! I hate having picky eaters. For whatever reason it never seemed to strongly effect River's weight but Milo is tiny. He is a very strange eater too. He never just eats something, he will constantly take it in and out of his mouth. Which makes it that he actually gets very little of what he eats. Even watermelon he usually just sucks the juice out and then spits the actual watermelon out! It's pretty weird and very frustrating.
Any of you had this problem with your kiddos?

 Before:

Tony and I worked all day today on our organizing/ cleaning projects.
First, we went through the whole house and cleaned the walls, baseboards, and crown molding.
Then our next project was to de-clutter and revamp the office.

 After:

We turned the office space into a playroom/office.
I have been meaning to do this for awhile, but just couldn't get up the courage to tackle it.
Tony had a day off so we decided to hit it together and just get it done!

 After:

I think allowing the kids their own space, instead of just the living room, to play and watch movies will be nice for them and me :)

 After:

I was worried the office would be cramped with all their toys too, but luckily I was able to rearrange everything so it fills the space just right!

 Before:

The next project was cleaning out our deck closet storage. It was just a mess of stuff.
Tony installed some shelves and we donated a lot of stuff and now we actually have a little bit of storage. Yay!

Redo Part 2: Kids Room

Before: The boys room was a mess of my old sheets and pillows from when I was single mixed with a kiddie duvet cover that looked awful together! A puke green wall that I pretty much hated as soon as we painted it a couple years ago. In short it was in desperate need of a Redo, and it finally got one!!

After: (Sorry for the bad pic) Now it is bright and cohesive and much more boy :)

The theme is woodland creatures. The color theme is white, mint green, orange, gray and yellow.

I recovered the old pillows that didn't match. I was proud of myself for being able to do that! I know that that is no big deal, but for my non sewing self I was thrilled that they came out in one piece! haha!

I was able to reuse some of the pics I had painted for River when he was born.

Milo's Fox pillow ( I know it looks like crabs in this pic)
I'm not totally done, I still need to recover their diaper changing pad and hang a few prints, but I was pleased with how it is coming together so far. Much cheerier then their old room! Yay!

Redo Part 1: Family Room

I have been meaning to recover my couch pillows ever since we got our couches and just got around to it!
I found some fabrics I thought were cute and used three different patterns to mix it up a little.

This is my least favorite, but oh well. Anything is better then what I had before

Of course I love the fun Chevron. I found a tutorial on how to make pillow slip covers. They were super easy and will be great to clean and change when I get sick of them.

It brought some character to my Family Room that it desperately needed. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out. Glad to finally check that off my to do list!

I FINALLY got a place to store all of the kids toys. I was really sick of looking at them all just piled on each other in the corner. I tried using baskets but River would just dump them all out as soon as I would clean it up, so I gave up. He is doing a lot better with this system, so I'm glad. I still would rather that they weren't in my Family room, that is my next project! I'm going to change our office/junk room into a office/playroom. So that will be happening hopefully this Summer :)
