Christmas Update

A lot has happened this year! It has been a wonderful year full of blessings and friends and family.
Tony: Has gone from working 3 jobs to working full time just at the Store. This has been a huge blessing not only for him, but our family. River was beginning to forget he had a Daddy! He would work during the day at one of two jobs then work all night at a resteraunt. The hours were brutal, but Tony was willing to do what needed to be done to provide for the family as his main job as a draftsmen was going out of business. He now is just down to one job and although things are tight we feel incredibly blessed for the work and a steady paycheck. He is looking forward to hopefully being able to get a day off in the new year. I know he will love that and River and I are looking forward to a little more time with him as well.
Christin: I went from working at the store with River to being a stay at home Mom. It has been challenging financially to lose the income, but it was getting a little out of control working with River on my hip on the Sales floor! River still loves being down at the store after spending a year of his life there. I think he feels like he owns the place or something! :) He always cries when we have to leave the store. It has been an adjustment going from working to being Mommy, but I love spending this precious time with my cutie. I am learning to value long term goals, unlike the short term and quickly obtained goals from working. Being a Mommy is a wonderful, amazing, yet tiring, and sometimes mundane job. I love my sweet boy though and happy to be on this journey with him. (We are figuring this Mommy/Son thing together)
River: He loved his time spent at the store working with Mommy, and was said when we had to go home full time. He still misses all of his coworkers :) He celebrated his one year Birthday in May, and was lucky enough to have Gma & Gpa Foscarini here for the celebration. We were also lucky enough to be able to go to Disneyland as a little family to celebrate his Birthday. It was an awesome trip!! He absolutely loved it, and so did Tony and I. We went on Pirates of the Carribean many times and Loved it! River just started Nursery and still isn't warmed up to the idea...so after two Sunday's of total melt downs for all of Nursery, Mommy now attends with him. I am hoping this will soon change. River is still not talking, but loves to make funny noises, point and dance to communicate. River is learning how to throw amazing tantrums! :) He is really so sweet and the light of our lives!
We went on some fun trips this year:
South Carolina (thanks to the Foscarini's) So FUN!
Riv & I attended some business trips with Gpa Feller to:
Texas (Dallas)
Washington DC
We love to get away whenever we can. Riv and I will be attending a few more shows in 2011 and are so excited!
We hope this time of year we can all reflect on our Saviour Jesus Christ and the amazing gifts he has given. Hope all is well and that you are also feeling the blessings of the Lord.
Merry Christmas and Happy 2011!
Love,
The Foscarini Family

It's Christmas time!

River still playing in the packing. Look how beautiful the Santa is! (He is on the tv stand all in white, right above Riv)

This is a beautiful Santa with Noah's ark and animals! So pretty!

Look how lovely they are! They are really special pieces!

River's first look at his new Santa friend

Almost to the treasure inside

Riv loved unwrapping and the peanuts of course!

Pointing at HIS package (thanks for making our day Doug)

River was so good during the festival

Beautiful donated quilt!

Grandma and Riv in front of our favorite quilt

My Mom and I attended the Festival of Trees this year with River. Beautiful Trees, garlands, wreaths, quilts, homemade goodies, etc. are donated and sold and all the money goes to the Primary Children's Hospital. Chelan has been a patient there and it is a wonderful hospital for children suffering at such a tender age. A lot of the trees were donated and decorated in Memory of children that have lost their sweet lives too early to illness. It was very touching and made me even more grateful for a beautiful, healthy child. I will always have a soft spot for these sweet angels among us who struggle, but smile through it all. My beautiful sister being my sweetest Angel :) My Mom and I fell in love with this beautiful quilt while we were there. It was so detailed, you probably can't tell from the pic. But it was beautiful!

River and I had a special delivery today! A special box labeled for River came from his sweet Uncle Doug. River was so excited to rip into the box and see what was inside! It was full of Beautiful Santa's!! I don't have any "nice" Christmas decorations and these Santa's are lovely and will be something our family will treasure always!! Thank you so much Doug :) You are so kind to be so generous and sweet to our family. River had a hay day with the unwrapping process and loved looking at the beautiful pieces. Thank you again!! We absolutely love them!!! You made our day with such a fun delivery :)

River's first visit to Santa!

River getting to Ring Santa's Bells

Such a fun way to visit Santa

River Loved his Candy Cane!

River got to go visit Santa already this year. It went better then I had envisioned too! I think it helped that River was the only one there so there weren't a bunch a screaming children or anything to freak him out. He was a little hesitant and wouldn't sit with Santa but he was really good and even rang Santa's bells and even got a candy cane. He was a really cute and sweet Santa and in such an adorable setting. If you want to take your kids to see Santa but don't want to do the Mall thing, go visit him at Gate House in Orem. Santa is there every Sat. From 2-4. I would highly recommend it. Not to mention after your kids see Santa you can look at all the adorable things that you wish you were getting for Christmas :)

This and that...

A little Black Friday shopping

Watching Mickey mouse clubhouse

Playing at Grandma's

Posing in front of Grandma's tree

I have some pics I want to post but they are on my Mom's camera...so stay tuned for them. Thanksgiving was great, filled with good food and Family. Tony only got Thanksgiving day off and had to work the rest of the week, so I think that was a little rough on him. I'm grateful he is willing to work so hard to provide for his family though! We are also so grateful for a job! We have so much to be Thankful for and know how blessed we are everyday. That is why I love Thanksgiving so much, it helps remind us how blessed we truly are. I love my family, friends, neighbors, ward members, and of course my sweetest little River! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well.

River's likes

Climbing stairs

Open gifts from Uncle Doug

Hiding in the sheets

River is loving these things...
Eating French toast every morning with Daddy
Climbing on the stairs
Playing under the covers/ on the bed
He also loves to "talk" into the microphone at church
(he is always trying to get on the stand!)

He is our joy and we love him! He still isn't talking but is definetly a handful :)

Halloween 2010

River LOVES being at the store!

Armed with his ammunition

Trick or treating time

His first door bell ring

Enjoying the fruits of his labor!

This Halloween we had a couple trick or treating events! We first went down to the store where they were doing a city trick or treat. River totally thinks he owns the place and when other trick or treaters would come in the store for their candy, they were greeted by River throwing bottles of jewelry cleaner at them! I am not kidding either...it was actually pretty funny...lucky nobody got pelted to hard :) Then we went up to my parents neighborhood to do the real door to door tick or treating, only to be greeted by blowing wind and cold rain! Luckily it cleared up just long enough for us to run down the street and get River some candy. He was an adorable bumble bee with a cute little stinger. :) River is obsessed with candy and loved every minute of Halloween.

Instead of doing our traditional Halloween Party this year I decided to do a play date with some of River's friends. It was a lot of fun! We had treats, pin the tail on the cow, coloring and a movie. I'm so glad everyone could come and I hope you all had a good time. It was a little crazy with 10 kids running around my small condo, but so much fun :) Thanks for all who came and helped bring supplies you girls are the best! The kids were dressed in their costumes and they were dressed to impress! They looked so cute :)

I had a hard time getting pics of everyone and playing host but in attendance:

Pumpkin land (the tradition lives on)

Pumpkins..pumpkins...everywhere!

He actually just sat there and didn't slide down! haha!

Entering the house of Mirrors!

He loves the cute boy smiling back at him

He didn't want to put his head through the hole so we had to take a pic from behind the scene

The corn maze that we actually got a little lost in!

Grandma loves her some River! :)

This little guy was greeting us at the cash register...my mom didn't realize he was real at first!

Like last year, my Mom and I visited Pumpkin Land with River. It was somewhere my Mom always took us as kids and I remember always liking it. It was much warmer then last year when we visited luckily! River was a little bit of a zombie during the whole thing (I think it was nap time) but then at the end they had some play things and he loved the house of mirrors! That is so typical River, he is pretty much obsessed with his reflection! I'm not kidding either, he is always looking in mirrors and pointing and smiling at himself :) I can't blame him though, he is pretty stinkin' cute! Thanks for taking us Mom, I hope it is something we can do every year :)
