My Friend posted this pic on Facebook and it made me laugh! So I thought I would share it with you. I was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood that had a TON of kids my own age. There was always a Birthday party or some event to attend. I had a wonderful childhood, and this pic just reminded me of that. I hope that River will be able to have as much fun, as a kid, that I had. Great memories :)

Snow. snow. Go Away!

Tony and I have decided that we are SO over Winter! This is what we woke up to on Saturday morning. Although I have to admit that it looked beautiful, I am done with the snow. Tony and I have not had time to go actually enjoy the snow by skiing, so we would rather be at a beach :)

My baby is getting so BIG

I can't believe that my sweet little boy is already 8.5 months old! He is growing up so fast! I'm sorry if you get bored of all my post being about River, but he is literally everything to me :) I feel like before I know it my baby is going to be a man...well maybe not that fast...but you know what I mean. Every moment with him is precious! I love love love...infinitely love you baby boy!

I am very far behind! We had a wonderful Christmas this year spent with my family. My brother was able to come home to spend River's first Christmas with us. My Dad, Trevor and I were all very busy at the store, and even though we weren't able to spend as much time away from work, for the holiday, that we would have liked to, we had a great Holiday. We played some games and just relaxed after pulling some really long nights at the store. River was so adorable, and LOVED opening all his gifts! He actually was interested in the actual gifts too, not just the wrapping paper. He was very spoiled and got toys, books, elmo, clothing, etc. etc. Tony got some basketball shoes he has been wanting for awhile. I got some perfume and Tony surprised me with some new high heels! Tony had fun this Christmas trying out some new recipes too. He made scones, and bananas Foster, both were delicious! We are so grateful for the many blessings that are ours and hope that you all had as wonderful of a Christmas season as we did :)

Milestones

There hasn't been to much going on lately with our family, just work as usual. River has started to do some cute things that I wanted to have a record of though. Every morning when I'm getting ready I have waved hello to Riv in our bathroom mirror and he has always loved it. Well, I guess he caught on to how to wave because out of the blue he just started waving to people! It is really cute :) He doesn't actually wave his hand, he just holds his hand up in the air. He waves at customers in the store and they love it! His two bottom teeth have broken through and are very sharp! He has been a pretty good teether, not too grumpy. He is starting to say da da, but not ma ma :( He is becoming a lot more giggly too, which I love! He has the best laugh ever. He still shows no interest in crawling, but loves to be on his feet and laughs when we help him walk around. He is showing more interest in food too. He has always loved food, but now he really wants it all the time! I gave him a biter cookie and he just laughed the whole time, I think he liked that he could hold the cookie by himself :) He is the cutest little guy and adds so much happiness into our lives! Mom and Dad Love you mucho mucho Riv!

It has been a while! Things have been very busy for all of us. River and I have been busy at work with the Christmas rush. River is also getting a tooth on his bottom gums, hopefully it will break through soon. He is also suffering from a cold :( But is handling it like a champ! Tony has also been busy at work and tries to come and get River from me at the store when he gets done with work every night, because Riv and I have been pulling some late nights at the store. I know I'm very behind on the blog, so I decided I would post a bunch of cute pics of Riv :)

I have to say that working in Retail can really ruin the holidays for you. I find myself feeling like Christmas just passes by without having a chance to relax and enjoy every warm fuzzy. That's why I love Christmas trees, the decorating, and the warm glow of the lights. I love that all my ornaments have a special meaning and story behind them. I love coming home from a busy/crazy day at work and just flipping on the tree lights and letting all the stresses and worries melt away in the warm glow. Christmas really is such a special time, and even if I can't enjoy it like I wish I could I will always have a beautiful tree to come home to every night that helps remind me that Christmas isn't about all the craziness in the malls, it's about our Savior and his love for us and learning to share that love with others. Merry Christmas! Enjoy your Christmas Season, because I know I will :)
