Some Explaining

I feel like these first 2 pics need some explaining:
When River moved from KOTM to the Alpine School District they asked to get his hearing tested because of his speech delay. He has had it tested on four different occasions. The only test they have ever successfully been able to preform on him has been a visual test. We go sit in a sound proof booth and then they us different sounds in different corners of the booth to see if he looks at them when they go off. They have toys where the sound is coming from so they want to look. Anyway, he has always tested great on those, but we have never been able to get him an ABR test. That is were they actually put an earphone in his ear and then test the frequency of the sound in his ears. This is the most accurate test. But because of River's sensory issues he would never let them get them in his ears without screaming and being held down, the test doesn't work when he his screaming!
When I took him to get tested again with the district we had the same results. The Dr. told me she really needed the ABR to know for sure he didn't have any hearing loss or that he was hearing out of both ears. I decided that I was sick of always wondering if it was his hearing that was causing his speech delay and needed answers! I needed to check that off my list, to know for sure.
So, I took him to the hospital and got him a sedated hearing test. It was difficult to get the IV in, but after they did he just fell asleep. He was monitored by two specialist to make sure he was doing well while being sedated and then the Audiologist had free rein to do all his test. It took about an hour or so.
The results were that he has perfect hearing! It was kind of bittersweet to be honest. I am so sick of always getting no's, I want to get some yes's! I know that is horrible to say, but I just want to know what I can do to help with River in whatever way possible. I'm obviously so glad that his hearing is great, it just would have been something easy to fix or know where to go from here if they weren't.
We will just keep working hard to help River with his Speech and Sensory issues :)
{You gotta watch the video of him going under, I had the nurse video it. She kind of missed the funniest part where he looked up at me and just smiled and looked drunk! But it is still funny! Just remember seconds before the video he was FREAKING out because they were putting in the IV, then the sedation started to kick in :) }

This pic doesn't show it very well, but poor Milo fell down my parents cement stairs going to their backyard :( He hit his head pretty hard and is pretty beat up!! Poor baby! He is healing up now and is looking really good though.

Trev got a bike!! Be careful out there Trevor!!
