Fire Station Open House

Another tradition is going to the annual fire station open house with my Mom.

River is really into police and Fire men lately. So he was super excited!
Here he is signing Fire man. :)

Milo really like it this year too!

They always get these cute hats.
It is so nice that we live right next door to the station :)

We discovered this year that going right after school, around 3:30, was a way less crowded time!

Grandma trying to get riv to try on the firemen clothes, for some reason they scare him.

We also go to see the life flight helicopter land!
Milo just kept pointing at it!

The kids liked it until it got close, because then it about blew us away!
haha!

Milo needing to be consoled by grandma after being almost blown away.

Riv and I got a little hair blown.

The fire demonstration!
River still is not a fan of this and runs the other direction.

School Carnival

Rivers school had a Carnival to raise money for the school.

It was a lot of fun!

I don't think River really understood a lot of the games, but he still had a good time.

He loved the train and the bouncy slide though!
He got to ride the train before it broke down :)

Milo was better at some of the games then River.
River didn't seem to get the concept of the games, but Milo did and wanted to play :)

Milo was kind of a cheater ;)

Trying to get more Real

I have been trying to take baby steps to being more healthy especially with my kids.

We aren't on any "diet", we are just trying to eat more Real less processed foods.
It is hard with how picky my boys are, but that's why we are just taking small steps at a time.
If I make anything requiring flour I always try to mix in whole wheat, using applesauce instead of oil, little things like that.

Luckily my kids for the most part like fruits.
Now to work on vegetables!

I made this homemade pizza instead of buying a frozen one.
It was so good and so easy!! I will definitely be making our pizza like this from now on!
I have a fear of cooking and I'm not good at it, so even though pizza isn't exactly healthy, it was something I could do to help boost my cooking confidence and my boys ate it :)

Fall Fun in the Canyon

Oh the canyon in the Fall!
There is nothing quite like it.

River thinks this ampitheater in the Aspen Grove is a "Ghost House"
So of course he loves visiting it often.

Look at those colors! The whole mountain side looked like that. My camera does it NO justice so I figured I would just get a pic of this beautiful leaf.

The Boys loved running on the picnic tables.

River modeling for the camera! haha!

We visited the canyon several times this season.
I'm so glad we did because it makes me so grateful for the beauty around us!
I love living so close to the Provo canyon!!

Oh pigpen is just sucking on dirty rocks! What is with this kid?
Look at the dirt around his mouth! haha!

Even if he is a syrup kid he is still handsome!

What we have been up to in Photos

This post is just a photo overload of what we have been up to lately.

Yes, Milo is a Drama Queen!! This is him throwing a fit

He is also very accident prone!
He always has a bruise on his head.

Peek a boo

I totally set this up while they were asleep! haha!

Both these boys are such picky eaters, but they sure love their candy.

Legos with Uncle Trev during a wonderful General Conference!
I LOVE Conference!!

oops! Milo's pants fell down.
That's what happens when your a skinny :)
River to the rescue.

River choose out a barbie over a truck?!
haha!
